How to Cook Fresh Fish Curry

2 tilapia fish (cut into 2 pieces)
1 fresh red chilli {optional}
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 to 1 & 1/2 cup water or to your liking {it depends on how thick you would like your curry to be}
1 tsp red chilli powder or to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Salt to taste
1 tin chopped tomato
1 medium sized onion, chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, finely chopped

A} Wash the fish thoroughly and set it aside.
B} In a frying pan or pot, add oil, when the oil is hot, add onions,
C} Cook for 2 minutes, then add bell peppers, cook until light brown
D} Now pour in tomatoes, cook for few minute, then add all species along with ginger and garlic as seen in the video
E} Add 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil.
F} Then put in the fish pieces and add more 1 to 1 & 1/2 cups of water, let it simmer and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
G} Serve hot with plain rice, ugali or any food of your choice.

1. Please don’t cover the fish as it cooks, otherwise is going to break. I did coz I forgot this golden rule lol
2. Do not stir the fish with spoon or anything, just shake the pot instead. This is going to avoid your fish to get burn.
