How To Make Uji Wa Lishe

Jinsi Ya Kupika Uji Wa Lishe

Quantity : 1kg
Ingredients for about 1kg:
1 1/2 Millet flour
1/2 cup Rice flour
1/2 Cup Semolina flour
1 Cup Soya flour
1/2 Cup Groundnuts flour
1 Tablespoon porridge oats
Mix well all the above flours

Your flour is going to look like this, after mixing the above flours

Ingredients for 700 ml to 800 ml Porridge (Meal for 1 time and serves 2 people):
3 Cups Water
2 cups Milk
4 -6 full tablespoons Uji WA Lishe Flour {Mixed nutrition flour}
Milk powder to taste {optional}
Sugar according to taste
Salt to taste
Vanilla extract to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice {optional, but i recommend to have with lemon juice, i think it taste perfect}

Method:
A} Mix all the above flours together {Mix properly}. This mixture you can call it —> Uji wa lishe.
Keep this flour very safe in a dry and airtight container. You can keep this powder for 1 month
B} pour 2 cups of water in a saucepan
C} Stir in 4 -6 full tablespoons of uji wa lishe powder in a saucepan and stir very well to avoid any lumps from the flour
D} When is getting thick add in 2 cups of milk and a cup of water, then give it a good stir as seen in the video. The thickness of porridge is depending on your personal preference, as for me I love thick not runny porridges lol.
E} Add in sugar, a pinch of salt, milk powder {Nido} and vanilla extract, lemon juice. Mix / stir really well. Add butter if you want to {for adults, butter is optional}.
F} Bring to the boil and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes on low to medium heat, stirring from time to time and watching carefully that it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan
G} Porridge is ready to serve. To serve, pour into bowls
