Delicious Mixed Biryani

Jinsi Ya Kupika Biriyani Ya Kuchanganya

Ingredients For Biryani Masala

700 gm Chicken gizzards {you can also use Chicken, lamb, beef goat with bones or boneless}
200 gm mixed vegetables
1/2 kg Onion sliced and fried {golden brown}
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon spices for rice
1 teaspoon chilli m powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon gram masala
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Fresh chillies to taste
Cinnamon sticks
1 to 2 tablespoons ginger and garlic
1/2 to 1 tin tomato
500gm yogurt
2 to boiled eggs
1 small to medium carrots {peeled and chopped
2 to 3 potatoes {peeled and chopped as seen in the video}
Mixed vegetables {any kind}
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 to 4 tablespoons cooking oil

Ingredients For Biryani Rice:

3 cups Basmati rice
Salt to taste
Saffron strands {soak in hot water for 20 to 30 minutes or use Yellow food colour}
4 to 5 cardamom pods
2 cinnamon sticks
1 to 2 tablespoons cooking oil


A} Heat oil in a pot or wok over medium heat. Sauté onions in it until crispy and golden. Take out the fired onions and set aside.
B} Pour in blended tomatoes and cook for about 2 minutes
C} Add in carrots and potatoes, mix well
D} Add all spices from the biryani masala and stir really well
E} Add in fried onions, ginger plus garlic, yogurt and mix everything together very well
F} Now add boiled {tender} chicken gizzards and mix well
G} Add enough water, cook until potatoes and carrots are soft and well cooked
H} Add in mixed vegetables and cook and stir, cook for about for 3 minutes
I} Add boiled eggs, mix well and set aside
J) Wash 3 – 4 cups
K) Soak a few saffron strands in 4- 5 teaspoons of water in a cup and set aside
L) Bring a big pot of water to boil
M) Add salt, 4 cardamom pods, 2 cinnamon sticks and 2 tablespoons of oil
N) Drain the washed rice and add to this water when it is boiling
O} Now add the rice over the chicken gizzards and vegetables and keep the biryani on low flame for 10 minutes
P} Mix everything together
Q} Put your biryani in a serving dish or plate
R} Transfer into a serving dish. Your delicious Biryani is ready to serve.
S} Serve with any sauce and salad of your choice.
