How To Make Marinade Sauce From The Scratch

This marinade sauce makes your food to have good aroma and your food becomes very delicious, therefore you are having double whammy. The beauty about this sauce is that you can use it in almost every food e.g. to marinate chicken, fish, meat, BBQ fried cassava, fried breadfruit {mashelisheli } etc.

If you want more then double the ingredients
1 to 1/2 big Bell peppers {any colour is perfect}
1 to 2 fresh chillies
1 big onion
2 lemon or lime
1/2 to 1Chilli powder teaspoon or to taste
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Salt to taste or to taste
1/2 to 1 teaspoon black pepper
1 to 2 tablespoons ginger and garlic paste

Tools you need:
mortar and pestle or food processor

A} Place the onion, bell peppers, fresh chillies, ginger and garlic paste in a mortar and begin grinding everything up
B} When it’is half way grinded then add chilli powder, black pepper and salt
C} When it’s almost done then add lemon or lime juice
D} Mix well
E} Put it in a container and keep it in the fridge if it’s too much then you can freeze it

1} Keep it in the fridge at all time and use it within a week or you can freeze it and defrost it whenever is needed at that moment {you can keep it for about 3 to 4 months when you are keeping it in the freezer}
2} If you want your lemons or limes to produce more liquid then roll them on the worktop as seen in the video , roll them out until they are very soft
3} Don’t add any of lemon or lime seeds in the sauce otherwise your sauce is going to be bitter
